What to do when a (nominally) Muslim asylum-seeker and his daughter turn up at church after a service?
- Offer them a cup of tea, a Pink Lady apple and a cheese baguette each?
- Give them a portable TV that was gathering dust, so they can have better family time and learn German?
- Give them a girl’s bike that was also gathering dust?
What to do when they ask for further help? Do you put them in touch with the local Islamic umbrella organisation, to put them in touch with Farsi-speakers? Or do you just not pass details of Islamic organisations onto them? A dilemma. Do you address the practical issues, or do you try to evangelise to them?
Have a righteous day, won’t you!
